So remember I said a while back that I was going to have to reign in my eating habits…….yeah. That never happened. I have a serious problem with Mexican food. Hello, My name is AJ and I’m and enchiladaholic. And don’t even talk to me about chips and salsa. This is pretty much a day in my life….
But healthy? At all, even a little bit? No. I don’t get too depressed about it until I start checking around on other fitness blogs. Apparently the rest of the world is insanely more dedicated than I am. Some even take pictures of all their food and post it online….because they like to brag and make enchiladaholics feel like big piles of doo-doo. Here are a few examples….
The über healthy girl….”yummy in my tummy. Organic bananas on a home made english muffin with Amish ground fresh peanut butter” Blah, blah, blah.
Seriously? Nothing gooey or oozing what so ever? No melted cheese? No tasty bleu cheese crumbles for the salad? No cobbler for the peach? Nothing? Ugh.
I just don’t know if I could do it. I might as well become a nun. I already have to avoid fried foods….yeah, even french fries…due to my cholecystectomy in 2007. (aka…..I had my gall bladder removed a few years ago because I had some crazy gall stones) However, I’ve strategically teased out all “safe” foods that I can still eat and not get sick….like bottomless baskets of tortilla chips and tasty salsa. Life without that might not be worth living, but I guess I have to give it a shot. I’ll keep you posted on my progress. I just had enchiladas and chips last night so right now I’m about 12 hours sober….and counting.
