I’ll just start out by saying that I love my boyfriend very much. Poor guy, has to put up with me all day…whining, complaining, making a mess. He’s great in every way…..almost ; ) We were having a discussion about women with muscles the other day….okay, I’m a bit obsessed with this topic right now. Luckily, he agrees that women with muscles are hot stuff. I’d be screwed otherwise….cuz this girl is NEVER going to be a size 2. But I asked him if he didn’t know better, could he tell that I was a lifter just by looking at me. He said yeah, so I of course asked him how he could tell. He said, “well, your back is kind of thick”. Ugh. Thick? Guys….if you’re reading this, please know that the word thick is never the best option in describing a girl. What he meant in this case was that my back looked pretty strong….good traps, lats, etc. I advised him to be a bit more specific in the future. Thick is for juicy steaks and truck driver asses….not your girlfriend ; )
Anyway……I had my night off last night so I don’t have a workout to report. So…I thought I’d share a little about another lifter that I’ve been checking out. He has a blog where he posts workouts and other random pearls of wisdom. His style is a bit rough….I like it. He earned his mention on my blog after I watched his video from a workout this week. I was fairly impressed with his video of a crossfit challenge that he posted last week. He timed himself doing 50 deadlift reps at 235 pounds….it was somewhere around 6 minutes. Nice. Then this week he posted a video of him cranking out Zercher squats. If you haven’t tried these babies, you should. And then you’ll know how tough they really are. I’ve only tried them at 95 pounds, nowhere near the 315 or some crazy weight that he was doing them with. Check it out.
